noHuman Team 4.3 and 4.4: see what each noHuman did in the Work panel

Select Work beside any chat to see requests waiting for you, current tasks by project and 7 days of finished work. noHuman Team 4.4 adds tokens per task.

Select Work next to Profile in any noHuman's chat. The panel beside the conversation lists that noHuman's requests waiting for you, its current tasks, its tasks grouped by project and what it finished in the last 7 days. Open a task to see its timeline and the files it produced. The phone companion has the same view.

Status: in noHuman Team 4.3.0 and later, on Mac and Windows; noHuman Team 4.4, out today for Mac, adds token counts per task; the phone companion is prepared for store release and has no public download yet.

Install noHuman Team, read the 4.4.0 release notes or see everything new in 4.4.

How do I see what a noHuman did without reading the whole chat?

Open its chat and select Work in the toolbar, next to Profile. The panel opens on the right, with the conversation still open beside it. Its header names the noHuman and says the list shows what it reported doing, newest first. Select the refresh button to reload it. Opening Work sends nothing to the noHuman and approves nothing.

Say your content team turns long recordings into short videos and posts them through the week. At the end of the day you open the editor's Work instead of scrolling back through its messages. You see the clips it finished, the one it is cutting now and the step it plans next.

What does the Work panel show?

The panel has four sections, top to bottom:

  • Waiting for you lists the noHuman's open requests. Questions, permission requests and paused messages have Answer, which jumps to the card above the message box. Other requests, such as installations, have Review, which opens Approvals.
  • Working on now holds open tasks updated in the last 24 hours, each with its latest progress, its next step and, for work a teammate handed over, who asked. Open tasks with no update for a day or more fold into one line below.
  • Projects groups tasks under the project name the noHuman gives them, with counts of open and done tasks and the latest milestone.
  • Done lists tasks the noHuman finished or stopped in the last 7 days, and Show older brings back earlier ones.

Select Timeline on a task to read its updates, newest first, with milestones in bold. Cards under Working on now list up to four files each, and the timeline lists the rest. Select a file to open it in the chat's file viewer, which plays browser-compatible video and audio. You can watch the editor's finished clip beside the chat before anyone posts it.

A request for a week of posts waits at the top until you answer it. On 25 October one of my noHumans asked me to approve a week of posts and told me approvals last three days. I approved the same week twice. In noHuman Team 4.4 you pick the length on the card, from 1 day to 30 days, or until a date up to 30 days ahead. The post on approvals and Forbidden actions covers what Approve records and how to revoke it.

Can a leader see what its whole team is doing?

Yes. A leader's Work adds a My team list: one row per direct report, with its latest task, that task's status and how long ago it reported. Select a row to open that teammate's Work.

Handed-over work appears before the teammate reports on it. If the leader hands the editor a clip to cut, the editor's Work lists the task as "Handed over by" the leader, with "no update yet", until the editor reports. Once the editor marks that task completed, waiting or stopped, the app passes the report back to the leader.

How long does the app keep work updates?

The app keeps a noHuman's updates for 30 days. Before 4.3.0 it saved the latest report alone, and each new report replaced the one before it. Done covers the last 7 days; Show older reaches back through the rest. After 30 days Work no longer lists a task, and the files it produced stay in your team's workspace.

Does the Work panel show what each task cost?

In noHuman Team 4.4 it shows tokens. Each task card carries the tokens its model calls used. Hover over the count to see input, output, tokens reused from cache and the largest prompt. A new section, Token use · last 7 days, ranks the five tasks that used the most. A leader also sees each direct report's tokens for the week.

On a Claude or ChatGPT subscription, the counts show which tasks use up your plan's limits. Reused cache tokens cost less than new ones and still count toward those limits. Token use per task explains how the app ties each model call to a task.

Does the Work panel check the quality of the work?

No. The noHuman writes each entry itself with a reporting tool, and the app builds the panel from those reports and from tasks teammates handed over. It does not read the chat to guess progress, and no check compares a Done task with its result.

The app asks each noHuman to report when it starts a task, at checkpoints, when it is blocked and when it finishes. It also tells the noHuman to mark a task completed once the work is done, with no guessed percentages. Treat a Done entry as the noHuman's own claim. Play the clip, read the caption draft, and ask in the chat if something looks off.

How do I find an older message or file?

Search the chat. Search in a noHuman's chat toolbar covers that conversation. Search team chats, below the Team overview header, covers all conversations in the team, including saved history while the team is stopped. A result opens at its place with the messages around it, and Return to latest brings you back. Search arrived in 4.1.2.

Since 4.2.1 you can select text, right-click and choose Search for this conversation or all chats. On a message, the same menu offers Copy message, Quote in reply and Forward to another noHuman. Forward fills that noHuman's message box, and you press send.

Files open in the viewer beside the chat, as they have since 4.1.1: Markdown, text, PDFs, spreadsheets, Word documents, video and audio, with Download. noHuman Team 4.4 fixes two things here. Video and audio now play in Library → Work files and Shared with teams too. The chat also no longer hides a new message that opens like an earlier one, such as a daily report with the same heading.

The dashboard guide covers chat search and the file viewer step by step.

Can I see Work on my phone?

Yes, in the mobile companion. Its iOS and Android builds are prepared for store release and have no public download yet. In a conversation, the checklist button at the top opens the same Work view: requests, current tasks, projects and finished work. Open a task for its timeline, tap a file to open it, and on a leader's Work tap a teammate to see theirs. You answer requests in the conversation itself.

With noHuman Team 4.4 on your computer, the phone's Work shows token counts as well. Since 4.3.0, phone messages from teammates, another team's leader or a schedule show who sent them. Your computer hosts the team, so it has to stay on and online. The mobile guide has the details.

Quick answers

Can I edit or delete a task in the Work panel?

No. Work has no edit controls. Ask the noHuman in its chat to close a finished task or stop an abandoned one, and the change appears after its next report.

What if a noHuman never reports its work?

With no reports and no handed-over tasks, its Work says "No work reported yet." Tasks a teammate handed it appear either way, marked "no update yet". Ask the noHuman to report its progress, or read the conversation.

Does the Work panel work on Windows?

Yes. The 4.3.0 installer for Windows 10 and 11 includes it. noHuman Team 4.4 is out for Mac today, and the Windows build comes later.

For the full panel layout, see Work from a conversation. The FAQ answers search, files and phone questions, and What's new lists the rest of 4.3.0.
