Use the mobile companion
noHuman Team for iOS and Android connects you to the team running on your computer. Send a request, read a reply, share a file or answer a decision from your phone. Your computer hosts the agents and must stay running and online.
The companion is prepared for store release. Public App Store and Google Play downloads are not listed yet. Follow What’s new for release status. The steps below describe the companion’s supported workflow.
Pair your phone with your computer
- Set up the desktop app and activate a valid product license. On the phone, sign in with the email associated with that license.
- On the computer, open App settings → Mobile access and choose Show pairing QR.
- Scan the QR in the companion. Compare the security fingerprints shown on both devices, then approve the pairing on the computer.
If the camera cannot scan, show a pairing code on the phone and enter it on the computer. Codes and QR links expire after ten minutes. Pairing does not use another desktop license activation or send your license key to the phone.
Chat, dictate a draft and exchange files
Choose a team, then open a noHuman in Chats. The directory follows your desktop reporting lines. Read final replies, scroll back for older messages and attach images or files. Each message can include up to three files, with a combined limit of 20 MB.
Tap the microphone to dictate on your phone. Recognition uses supported on-device languages; you review the words in the draft before sending. Unsupported offline recognition offers setup guidance. The app does not send a voice recording to Hub or your computer.
Mobile chat shows your messages, final replies and exchanged files. Open the desktop diagnostics for internal tool calls and reasoning. Tap an attachment card or a local file link provided by the computer to open it. The phone downloads the file through the existing end-to-end encrypted Hub transfer, with progress and a retry action if the connection fails. Ordinary web links still open in your browser.
Read Markdown and UTF-8 text files up to 1 MB in the app, or open images in its zoomable viewer. Videos, audio, PDFs and other files use iOS Quick Look or an installed Android viewer; playback and preview support depend on the file format and available apps. Larger text files also use the native viewer. Choose Open with to select another app, Save to Downloads on Android or Save to Files on iPhone/iPad to keep a copy, or Share to send the file. These are separate actions, available even after returning from a preview. Files transferred to the phone must be no larger than 20 MB.
If a generated file has changed on the computer, choose Refresh and open file to get its current version. If it belongs to an older conversation page, load older messages and open it again. This does not resend your request or change your draft.
Generated file links and native document opening require desktop and companion builds that include this update. No Hub migration or new pairing is needed. Older desktop builds keep their existing attachment behavior; the phone cannot open arbitrary paths copied into a message.
Answer requests and direct your team
Attention gathers founder questions, tool permissions, installation approvals and startup errors across the computer’s registered teams. Filter to one team, review a request and answer it. Questions assigned to a teammate are read-only. High-risk installation and destructive tool approvals require you to type APPROVE.
The conversation menu opens the noHuman’s model, readiness and working context. Choose from accounts connected on the computer, make room by compacting context, or reset the working session. Resetting the session keeps saved chat, files and long-term Memory.
Stop the current turn, restart, hard stop and start are separate controls. Teams lets you pause or resume the selected team. Read the interruption notice before changing a model during work; changing provider may restart that noHuman. Offline or stale status disables controls until the companion refreshes.
Understand privacy and connection limits
The phone and computer encrypt chat and attachments between them. Hub relays ciphertext and keeps account, pairing and delivery metadata. Your phone receives neither AI-provider credentials nor the desktop’s founder token. Compare pairing fingerprints before approving access and revoke a lost phone from Mobile access.
The companion polls for replies while you use it. This version has no push notifications or voice messages. Keep the computer online; a model turn can take minutes. If a command times out or the computer restarts, refresh its state and conversation before sending it again.
Open the app menu to delete your mobile account. This disconnects mobile access and removes relay data; your desktop subscription, license, teams and local files remain. Read the privacy policy and account deletion guide for details.
Telegram remains an optional channel with separate service terms. See Team communication to configure it.
